Dave is a professional auctioneer and fund development consultant with a proven
track record of enhancing nonprofit fundraising through auctions and pledge drives.
His dedication and expertise have consistently led to remarkable results for
the organizations he works with.

Dave began his fundraising career in development, working with some of North America’s largest nonprofits. With over two decades of experience in hosting and event management, along with his advocacy for volunteerism and philanthropy, he has helped raise over $20 million for charities and nonprofits.

As an auctioneer, Dave routinely surpasses expectations, often quadrupling anticipated bids. Notably, he auctioned a signed guitar by Tenor Maestro Andrea Bocelli, securing an impressive $150,000 for the single lot!
Dave is also an award-winning host and producer, best known as the host and co-creator of the CBC series Small Talk, for which he received a Canadian Screen Award for Best Host. Alongside his work in television and fund development, Dave is the Co-Founder of Keepsake Video Inc., a production company specializing in personal profile videos that preserve people’s stories for future generations.
Currently, Dave supports major nonprofits in Canada and the US as both a pre-campaign advisor and an on-stage auctioneer. His strategic approach involves analyzing past data, event formats, and guest demographics to help clients set and surpass their impactful fundraising goals.
